Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join and provide technical leadership within our development team.

​

This is a hands-on senior role. You will contribute directly to development and complex technical problem-solving while helping guide architecture, code quality and engineering standards across our products.

​

We are looking for someone with strong technical judgement who is comfortable working with experienced developers, evaluating different technical approaches and making clear, well-reasoned decisions.

For the right candidate, this role provides the opportunity to take on significant technical leadership and ownership as our development team and product portfolio grow.

This role is embedded within the full-stack team, with day-to-day ownership of that team's execution and technical decisions.

​

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production applications across our full technology stack

• Take ownership of complex features and technical problems from design through to implementation

• Contribute to architectural direction and technical decision-making

• Lead and mentor developers working across .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid, ASP.NET Core and Microsoft SQL Server

• Review and improve existing MAUI Blazor Hybrid applications, shared Razor component libraries and backend services

• Conduct code and architecture reviews

• Establish and maintain strong code review standards, Git workflows and engineering best practices

• Identify technical debt, performance issues and opportunities to improve scalability and maintainability

• Translate product and business requirements into practical technical solutions

• Work collaboratively with other developers and technical specialists

• Support technical hiring, onboarding and the development of the wider engineering team

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience

• Strong experience designing and maintaining production systems

• Proven experience technically mentoring or leading other developers

• Strong expertise in C# / .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core and Microsoft SQL Server

• Production experience with .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid, or Xamarin.Forms combined with strong Blazor experience

• ​Experience with offline-first application architecture, SQLite, synchronisation and conflict resolution

• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases and application design

• Solid Git workflow and code review discipline

• Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making ability

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI APIs or AI-driven functionality into production applications

• Broader AI/ML engineering exposure

• Experience with offline-first architecture, including SQLite, synchronisation queues and conflict resolution

• Experience with Azure services including Blob Storage, App Service and Azure AD / MSAL

• Experience with multilingual or low-resource-language technology

• EdTech, publishing or education-sector experience

• Android, Windows and iOS app store submission and release experience

• Experience introducing or improving engineering processes within an existing development team
